Recydual

Architecture, design, and recycling come together in the making of this chandelier. We spent an unforgettable morning learning about creative recycling. The kids in their classroom and discarded materials are all that Recidual needs to transform the space and create an amazing art experience.

We turned the classroom into a gathering spot where the individuality of each child comes together to create a giant chandelier. How do we do it? We give each student materials to make a ribbon out of bottle pieces. Once finished, they are joined to form a unique chandelier.

Although individual work might seem like just a grain of sand, when you connect all the kids' ribbons, it becomes a huge mountain—that is, the chandelier—which is also a creative and inspiring experience filled with light.

We believe that teamwork produces surprising and beautiful things, like this bottle chandelier, which can transform spaces. It’s a piece of art made by children. The message is that from nothing (discarded materials), wonderful things can emerge, and working together yields better results.
